Inside the foot ring of your shibo is how this clay looks fired in the atmosphere, which was there during the firing. It reminded me on Bizen-ware too, but Bizen-ware has darker and more reddish clay, hasn't it? What kind of clay are you using for your pottery? Do you make the clays yourself? Inside the footring of my shibo the clay looks light brown, is this the original colour of the clay?
